On My Toes

Just when I start to get comfortable with something, it changes.  Cardiology called today to see if we could move her surgery date up by two days.  It wasn't totally necessary, but when the surgeon says that he would prefer to monitor her the day after surgery himself, you don't argue.  So, surgery date has been changed to this Tuesday, June 11th.  That will give us Saturday to enjoy, Sunday to pack, and Monday to have her pre-op physical.

I've learned over the last several years that its much easier to roll with the punches, be flexible, allow the game plan to change and be changed by our Master Orchestrator.  His plan is perfect.  Don't resist.  Allow Him to make changes without putting up a fight.  This life isn't supposed to be comfortable.  When we are in our comfort zone, we should know that something lies ahead.  Something that is about to shape and mold us to become more like Him.  He does what He wants...you can either hop on board or swim behind the boat.

  1. Keeping this day written down, I will be praying for her the moment she is in surgery and for you her parents for peace and the care afterwards. I know the Lord has your precious daughter in His hands. <3
